a little tweakin on the design and we are right back to cabovers lol
cnsper Thanks this. -
I see what Tesla is trying to do is diversity. Multiple streams of work in various fields from the Space Rockets for NASA etc all the way down to stamping out cars. Apparently his cash burn is horribly high right now. And where does the money come from to mobilize a factory large enough to supply say.. half a million heavy class 8 tractors to the United States each year? I doubt with the back of my napkin thinking we build that many desiel trucks last year.
NEver mind that factory, look out for the gawdayum (To paraphrase) the blessed battery. Where do we get those? Well, look at the minerals. That's where. Generally not within our borders. -
Ryder is going to be handling the charging and maintenance.

I had someone ask this to me today. Im having trouble with it.
If I paid 1000 dollars a month to my car commuting say 45 miles to work one way, 90 round trip at 30 miles to gallon 5 days a week plus the necessary errands etc ranging up to 30 miles if not more.
What cost then a electric vehicle feasting off a garage home charger providing something on the order of 480 volts or higher?
What is that going to do to the electric bill if it needs a charge all night every night. 2000? 3000? 5?
Ayatollahs file into the church of electric cars and praise them to heaven, but not a single one of them say exactly what you will be paying feeding that ####### child every night in your garage. -
It could not be less... plastic. They did show a interior shot and Im horrified. A horse stall had more character.pattyj Thanks this.

Strikes two and three right there. Ryder maintenance sucks beyond measure. I have written up multiple things that they have not fixed, in fact they seem to do as little as possible. I have a good old trusty video handy each time I get it back and I document the things they fail to fix. And that smug ####### at the service dept I go to, I would like to slap the taste out of his mouth.Toomanybikes and x1Heavy Thank this.

0-60 in 5 seconds empty, 20 seconds loaded. JB Hunt is going to buy some. I'm sure they will turn it down so much it will accelerate and pull hills like their other trucks to save on electrical costs. So can you hammer down Donner pass weighing 80,000 lbs with the forever lasting brake pads? The truck probably has regenerative braking but I wonder how much force it can withstand. Also I bet when it snows that covering over the rear wheels will get caked in ice causing problems such as ice rubbing on the tires.
