From what I gather, we can run out and backs or the system as we feel the need. I'll see how the system goes and maybe just mix it up. Thanks

He had a good system, but the Schneider effect catches up to everybody eventually

It's trucking, so I guess. Guys have gotten frustrated and left every company...some more than others. I'm enjoying Superior so far. They haven't blown smoke up my backside yet. I'm still getting into the job, so there's time.

I was frustrated with the second trainer and thought about telling him and them where to put the job....lol

A 69 hour layover in Chicago did him in. It’s entirely possible that could happen to us at Markham but at least layover pay would be 450+ for it verses under 200 at Schneider.

That's a different animal. One of our drivers got stuck at delivery for 10 days. They had him wait before taking the order. Wow did he get paid for those days. Think he made hourly for 19 hours a day sitting. It worked out to like 3 grand for those days. Talk about easy money.

PCS Sales held me up last week and so did the consignee in NY. That extra hourly rate after the first 2 hours looks good on the paycheck.

My truck is under the preloaded tank I haul to GA on Monday. I offload then head to the Atlanta terminal for another pre load headed to Greensboro. I then run empty from Greensboro to Wilmington to be home for a 4 day weekend with the family. Of course, holiday pay for being home on Thanksgiving.

That's a mini 3 day system run which is pre planned all the way through. I'll get some good loaded miles in a short time.

Yeah, I'm enjoying being a trucker with Superior. Some days are better than others, but at least I'm not a door swinger.

So it sounds like Superior gives good loaded miles keeping you preplanned and all. Do you get paid differently when empty? I'm doing out and back runs which is kinda nice because I'm home more, but I would make more if we had backhauls.

It really has a lot to do with your individual terminal and the dispatch. Where I'm at, they tend to work with you a lot to accommodate your lifestyle. The Springfield Terminal would probably allow about anything a driver wants within reason. He needs drivers and can take 9 yesterday.

What would be the average weekly pay in your opinion for the otr drivers in that company before taxes?
