If you can't get all the way back to London, there is a PetroPass with a small lot (maybe 20 trucks or so) just at the west end of Kitchener. Can't recall which exit it is, but I will try and remember to look it up tomorrow. There is also another truckstop at the Ayr turnoff, which is about 5 miles west of Kitchener...truckstop is on the south side of the highway, next to the Peterbuilt dealership.
How'd you like the weather....hope you missed the snow, it was nasty out there this morning. -
We were in and out of Ketchener with no weather problems. Cold as a witches...... "ankle".. We havent had a problem as of yet getting in and out of the Country. It does seem though that the american side is a little more arrogant than the Canadians. This guy was looking dead at my wife and myself's birth certificate and CDL, with us sitting in a big truck asking us if we do alot of traveling. Then pausing for a long time between questions like he was trying to decide if we were legal to go in our own Country. Think he might have been fishing for a reason to show us how powerful he is and hold us up for a few hrs. and inspect our truck? Maybe it will be better when we get our pass port. But I doubt it because I think that they just like being that way. That feeling of power they have must be intoxicating.

Don't let them intimidate you, keep it on a simple yes or no basis and appear confident. I've been through the border crossing grinder so many times, I don't even think about anymore. If they still give you attitude firmly advise him that you will not be spoken to in that matter.
So you are saying the road to Kitchener is clear? I'm getting ready to leave Chicago in a few hours for an AM Toronto delivery. -

No. No this was yesterday afternoon. I think they are expecting a foot of snow tonight. Not positive on that, but fairly sure. -
I have this feeling that the country you are from is always more hassle then the one you are going into...
I find that its often more hassles getting back into Canada, and are treated with less respect coming home then I am going into the USA.
That said I cant say that I have any Horror Stories about crossing borders going either way, just what I deem to be minor inconvenience's...
Good luck and keep the shiny side up! -
I deliver to Solucor (formerly Reagean's ) in Bradford . I used to make 4 to 6 trips a month . This year it slowed down to 2 or 3 a month . Only had one trip in November , no orders for December . That's the only Canada load I have . None of our fleet's trucks are governed and I will not be happy having a 105 km/h speed limiter on my truck to go to Ontario once or twice a month .

Snow didn't come last nite, but it's definitely on the way.
As for the crossing, I have never had any problems coming back into Canada, but lots of hassles going into US. As someone else said, I think they just like to show their power. -
Was in Ontario last week and well... I am an idiot. Exits are labelled the same in both directions. I must have been looking at either rest areas on opposite sides of the road, or truck stops in between exits.

Exactly driver, it's the staggered service centres that confused you. Like for example there is one on the 228 or so going East but going West it's on the 222 KM.
