Galaxy 44

I love mine

 

Well...Guess after you get a Mic for it...You can let us know if they are "OK" or not!

 

I have a 44 as a back up. I get compliments when I use it. I use the SRA 198 microphone with it.

 

I have one of the newer versions of the 44 that I too will be using for a back up when Christmas arrives Wife doesn't know it yet but Santa is bringing me a stryker. 44's are good little radios. Never had a problem with mine. I'm just very shallow and want all the pretty knobs and buttons that I have no idea what they are for and to have 1000 channels that I will never use. But on the serious side, my 44 is good for what it's purpose. I use a rk 56 nc mic on mine, and yes I know that they are no longer the cats meow in nc mics but old habits are hard to break. I had ran a ranger nc mic on it for a while, but I don't talk that loud and wasn't getting the bumping swing the radio is capable of so I switched back to the rk.
