    There are several manufacturers making the LDMOS transistors BLF188xr and others. They can achieve 1200+ watts on 4 watts input and take up to 65:1 vswr. The manufacturer has a video online of direct shorting the coax and it never misses a lick, goes right back to full output. I would like to try one out, but they are still relatively pricey. However they seem to be the most rugged transistor out there,

    Only at 50 volts. This seems to be the first rugged 14 volt mosfet.

    You are correct about the 14 volts vs 50 volts. I am just excited about the abuse they can take and not burn up. Nowadays, burning up a toshiba transistor is costly and they are becoming scarce. I don’t have faith in the DEI or HG line just yet.
