    per DAT:

    Reefer rates on average hit highest rate in 3 years (Dec 2014).
    Load to truck ratio is highest in years.
    Last week averaged 13 loads posted per 1 truck posted.

    Van load to truck posts are at 6.7 loads for every one truck, more than double than a year ago and more than triple of two years ago.

    Just wait till the elog mandate comes into play.. Oh buddy!!!!!

    I'm doing what I need to do. Dad just had shoulder replacement surgery in SoCal (at nearly 80 years of age) and I got myself to Phoenix and rent a car to CA. Spent 5 days there. Would I like to make money? Sure. But I really enjoy not needing to. And I really don't want to own given my goals. But needing another 12 to 18 months, I'm even knocking around the idea of buying an old SNI company unit. All in all, about the same.
