Black smoke thru gears and Which turbo to run on 6nz?

Borg Warner does now have a direct bolt on which is the stage one. You have to look for the number. I bought my in 5 pieces including the clamps. It was less expensive. Under $1500.00 if I remember correctly.

I’m surprised others have not chimed in yet, maybe cuz of the holiday. And to answer your question, yes, any turbo supplier or Borg Warner distributor should have it. Like I mention earlier, they do sell it as a whole now instead of buying in sections. Shop around. There are many suppliers.

 

Have you had the charge air cooler and the line going to the compressor tested? If it's leaking bad enough you can still get full boost but it'll take longer to build pressure and you'll get lots of black smoke when shifting or taking off
