What you should prepare for is having the market drop out.
I think you need to get off the road if you want to manage an authority with other drivers.
Wonder what you are paying them, they should be making a lot more money than you are.
Another bit of advice, check your trucks out first so they are road ready when you buy them. AND don't buy cheap trucks.
By the way, here is one thing you really need to know, it doesn't take 2 weeks to order parts - that's bullsh**.Lepton1, whoopNride, selftaughttrucker and 1 other person Thank this. -
Agreed. You can actually buy a better flowing, better performing radiator (better than OEM) for cheaper than you can get one from the factory. Shipped directly to you or a shop of your choice next day. What happened was, you went to a place for repairs, and some person behind a desk looked on their computer to their parts supplier to whom they get a little discount deal or they have some sort of arrangement or whatever. Heck, maybe they were just too busy to deal with your truck.
The thing is, that stuff hurts bad. 2 weeks down will cost you a driver and tons of revenue. You're going to have to get a better plan for breakdowns. A faster shop or something. When the breakdowns and whatnot start in on your small fleet, you are going to realize that there aren't enough hours in the day to work your job and maintain your fleet. ***(all of you people scoffing at working 70 hours a week, you're looking at a minimum 110 hour a week man)***
Are you sure that you and the wife can deal with this day in and day out?Lepton1 and whoopNride Thank this. -
