The left lane is the last place I'd want to be in with that slush there. Middle lane is just wet. If I was in the black car, I'd be in the middle lane instead of fighting the slush in the left lane.

I noticed the danger as soon as I saw the road conditions, vehicles traveling too #### fast. Good job by the truck driver to avoid crushing the car parked on the shoulder.
TripleSix Thanks this. -
But no matter where you go, you see the same Darwins.
Somewheres out there someone is thinking that calling people Braindeads and Dingleberry is harsh.
What species of human would you categorize this guy? He sees the cop. He hears them yelling at him. Common sense says to do what? Worse thing, he probably has a clean record. Does he have full control of the car? Can he drive and read signs? -
That guy is the worst kind of driver though. You see them all the time, sitting up straight. Hands on the wheel at 10 & 2 or 9 & 3 depending which way they were taught. Fully concentrating on the road 50' feet straight ahead of them. Completely unaware of anything other than what is happening in that very narrow, limited area.
They're the ones that don't see the cop on the should until they're right on top of them. They're jerky going around bends. They do a lot of minor corrections in their lane. They find driving very stressful.
They're not distracted but they just can't see the big picture. -
D.Tibbitt, Lepton1, Feedman and 1 other person Thank this.

There's actually another type of hazardous driver in the first video. The Do-Gooder.
The Do-Gooder's are courteous. So courteous they will put lives in danger to be the courteous one. You've seen them. You're driving down the highway, clear space ahead of you, a few cars behind. Coming to a get on ramp, the Do-Gooder will proceed down ramp with a line of traffic behind them, and promptly stop on the ramp to let traffic pass by.
The Do gooder will sit at a red light, no turn signal on, and let the car on the other side make their left turn. Then after the left turning car is a mile through the intersection, Do gooder will proceed.
So where is Do-Gooder in the original video? -
Lepton1 Thanks this.

Forty five years ago I was taught DEFENSIVE DRIVING. It has worked ever since.
D.Tibbitt, Just passing by, Feedman and 1 other person Thank this. -
And they come to a complete stop on a controlled access highway to allow traffic on the ramp to get on. Do-Gooders are usually Dumaz, because if they knew how to merge, they wouldn’t come to a stop. If they looked far enough ahead, they could time the merge, but you can’t do that staring 50 ft straight ahead, can you?rbrtwbstr Thanks this. -
Try this one...(no politics...politics are the very thing that 1. kept Dumaz alive so long 2.) makes Dumaz not realize his identity). This one is a bit tougher.
We are looking for Dumaz, Dingleberries and Stupid. And when is it that you first see the hazard?Lepton1 Thanks this.
