I know this is a long shot in getting an answer but...

Does anyone have any experience with the 5th wheel wrecker? Protote or something.

I'm thinking of having one made.

I've used one to pick up a truck in Oregon and bring it to Chicago. What would you like to know?

Thanks for answering. Well how did it handle it? Truck and trailer? Loaded?

The fifth wheel toters are designed to drag a bobtail from the rear only. For that they work like a charm have little effect on how the towing unit handles

Truck only. They gave me chains that are long enough to go under both axles, and hooks on top of the frame just in front of the front driver. That keeps them from dangling.

The hook swung a little, so I had to drive like I was hauling a tanker. Other than that, pretty easy.
