When I worked at the asphalt company, they would do outside dump truck work, I comes in, bleary eyed Monday morning, boss says, "Semi, go over to the egg farm, they need a tri-axle," , fine, another busy day. I get there, guy says, " we had a problem over the weekend, see Charlie 'round back",,,ok,,,I go "round back", here's a pile of dead chickens, as big as a 2 car garage. I said, "Good Lord, what are we doing with THAT"??( you can imagine the stench) Charlie says," we had a "die off", like half a million chickens, Joe is digging a hole 2 miles away, and you're dumping them in the hole". Disgusting. When done, I couldn't get that smell out of the box, even asphalt. When I did back up to the paver the next time, the crew yelled, " Good heavens, man,( not those exact words) what you been haulin'?

Hand loading and wheeling out old computers at the hospital. Had to wheel out 20 skids to my trailer from the upper floor. The only way was thru ER and got to see a lot of sick and injured people that day. Hats off to those who can work in ER

In our family history contains a truck hauling a set of NIKE Missiles of the 60's era used in nuclear air defense. I leave out the details of that story because it's second and third hand. I was a child when that particular load was moved and do not have enough information because all concerned have pretty much passed on and not interested in opening that particular episode. SO it's remain in the storyland of possibilities but nothing that can be established as hard facts. What we do know is that load did exist and that is all there is to be told about it. There is definitely a back story related to this load but it's not something I know enough to elaborate on.

Used to haul missiles out of Indian Head,Md Naval Surface Weapon Center back in the 80's. One missle per truck, about a 25' long skinny box about 4' square. Govt. had their own set of blueprints how it had to be tied down you had to adhere to. Used to go to Great Lakes Naval Weapons Station,Ill,and Huntington Beach Naval Weapons Station,Ca.
