In my opinion Midwest is where the best miles are, unless you can get with a coast to coast company.

I know Fairview. Had some antique furniture refinished at a little shop there. I'm from just North of you in Robertson County and also Davidson County. Relocated to Nevada not too long ago.
Personally, I like the Western States , especially the Southwest. You'd probably like a company with regular runs to the west coast.
Danny Herman Trucking doesn't run Northeast and usually stays below I-40 with lots of runs to the Texas border towns and Southern California.
Contract Freighters www.cfidrive.com runs everywhere. Lots of west coast runs and some Northeast, but their long runs get you out of there fast.
A&R Logistics requires 6 mos. experience and home most weekends. Probably be dispatched out of Jackson,TN or Decatur,AL. Don't need endorsements to drive their trucks.
Dynamic Transit does little to no, Northeast and runs west coast.
Navajo Express has a terminal in Jackson,TN and runs lots of west coast.
