Absolutely guys. Anything over 244" with a 53' box takes additional permits. Lately though, I am starting to see 260-270" trucks from Ontario - east, and have seen a 300" Pete day cab in Winnipeg.

Just got word that Frigette offers a mod kit that helps with the noise (pre-2007). I'm in Virginia. any suggestions on where to get the work done ??

What I do to mine is I took the stock muffler off and trashed it....went to NAPA and told them what I needed....I put a small car muffler on and this little dude is vary quiet now. I was at a place loading one time and had it running a when I walked around the truck there were two guys stading there looking at, one wanted to know what kind it was and I told him its a Frigette He said he thought it was but wanted to know what I did to it to make so quiet and I showed him the car muffler. If you wanna make any APU quiet thats the way to go.

I'll try it .... which muffler did you use ???

I dont remember what kind of car this muffler was for...I know it was for a small size 4 cyl car. I just took my old APU muffler in and told them what I was trying to do and wanted a muffler with the same size inlet hole. I had to buy about a foot of flex tube and make a small bracket to mount the muffler on the back side of the APU but it was no big job at all to do. It made it so quiet now if I have my raido on I cant hear it running at all. My cousin has a APU on his truck with the same type Kabota motor but his sounds like reefer trailer......well maybe not that bad but its loud LOL
