By the way, this is coming from a guy who did 2 years at Coca-Cola, and 8 years at Sysco Philadelphia. Sorry to hear about your injury. Tried the OTR thing with Walmart for 2 years and now I'm back at Sysco. OTR just not for me. If LLI doesn't interest you, I'd look into the LTL companies. Gives you the home every night that your used with not as much activity. Another private fleet, if it's nearby, Composites One or NAC. Need your haz mat and tanker for both of them, but your home most nights. Hourly jobs. Good luck.

Well one can want more than.50 cent which would be good, but if you don't have nothing to lose you have no say, take it are leave it, I have some skin in it there four I pick my load and work when and where I go, most guys getting over.50 cents have more than 5 years out here 1 year is nothing to talk about, 25 years clean over 2 million miles you can tell them what you want and In most case if you been with them for a long time and no 2 tickets you may just get it done,

Many truck drivers are easy to get to bite on shiny lures. If they are frustrated, they act first and ask questions later. Marketing and recruiting people figured this out long ago.

Poly trucking. The additional pays along with 0.52/mile put you in the 0.58-0.60/mi ballpark. I am going to turn close to 150,000 miles this year but that is running really hard. You can expect to get 125-130k miles fairly easily even starting out.

Steel Dragon and carramrod32 Thank this.
