I am interested if there are companies that send Rate Confirmations, and what are the usual funny excuses they give? Thank you, drive safe!
Hey Colleagues!! Does your company sends you the Rate Confirmation?

Thank you for your answer Sir! Do you get forwarded E-mail or picture from the confirmation, or that is not much important? Which state is the company from? Are they hire new?

Being that brokers call me directly or I am the one who books and chooses my own loads,. I am the one who negotiates and sets the rate. There can be no cheating by the carrier in this type of business relationship with out me knowing about it.
In fact,.. it is my carrier who relies on my honesty and integrity. Particularly when doing COD or when I've renegotiated the rate.
If you feel the carrier you pull loads for is cheating you,.. why work for someone you do not trust? What kind of relationship is that? Are you that desperate?
As for the rate/con. I honestly do not have much experience with how other carriers do it. But even before I started booking my own loads,.. I was always emailed a PDF of the rate/con. Even now,.. I will get a PDF directly from the broker or shipping agent, and then again from my carrier. We have an honest working relationship. It is in both of our interests to look out for each other.
Find some self respect and move on.

Yes, every time. The brokers send them to me and I forward them to the office. Granted, just like Hurst, I also do my own booking and negotiate everything.
If you do not get it for every load, odds are you are being deceived.Last edited: Dec 4, 2017

We are in central Illinois. It's a small flatbed company. They didn't send them when I stated there. Owner didn't even know how to send a picture via text. Now everyone gets a pic of the rate sheet. They would take the time to text the info every load. I'm like just send the pic why rewrite it all or call me on the phone and make me write it all down?
The real reason I wanted it though was to confirm the rates. I trust my carrier and don't think he would short me but.......
Trust but verify!!!!!Intothesunset, Midwest Trucker, Truckin4ever77 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I'm a fleet manager/load planner/ dispatcher for a company with about 30 trucks, 20 of which are o/o. I book the majority of the loads for most of them. It is standard operating procedure to send a .pdf of the rate sheet along with the dispatch info. When the o/o has a copy of the rate sheet, it leaves no room for suspicion or doubt on the part of either party. I would not have it any other way.Intothesunset, Truckin4ever77, xsetra and 2 others Thank this.

Yes, and I can go online and look at the billing.
If you are leased to a company they are required to let you see the freight billing.Intothesunset and Truckin4ever77 Thank this. -
Bumping an old post.
I have unfortunately discovered for a fact that my rotten company (which I am leaving) has been photoshopping the rate on the rate con.
In this last instance there was an issue with a load and the broker sent me the rate con directly which was $400 more than the one I was forwarded by my company. And I don’t mean detention or anything like that, the actual rate.
I am an owner op and the company takes 10% of gross.
I am curious, from a legal perspective, is there anything illegal about their ways or is this just piss pore morals and ethics!?!
What amazes me, is that everything else is 100% satisfactory, new equipment (trailers) great support, on time statements and direct deposits. Why are these guys stepping on their own balls is beyond me! Must be simple greed!dwells40 and Intothesunset Thank this. -
What all are they doing for that 10%, that is pretty low for a lease.
Intothesunset and Midwest Trucker Thank this.
