Hey, look at the bright side. Wherever you land, it will be a step up.

First of all the labor board will not do anything in this case. Second I'm not so sure it's inaccurate. He did, in fact, throw a tantrum and walk away from the truck.

As for the op, simply put in apps everywhere. If you are unemployed right now, that means you have the time to put in 100 apps. Heck, even if you are working for some crappy job, you can still but in 10 a night before bed. Kinda surprised @Chinatown hasn't shown up yet.

I used the labor board several times with 100% satisfaction but, it was about money disputes. I'm actually not even sure if they handle anything else. What I do know though is companies actually fear the labor board.
Yes he walked away but , the trainer was still with the truck so I don't see how they can legitimately claim abandonment.

They are very good with money disputes yes. Something like balckballing (DAC), not so much. The reason I think it would hold up as abandonment is that with him being there 3 weeks, he was likely not training as much as a cheap team situation. If that was the case then him walking away could have made a lode late as there is now only one driver.

That being said, you are right that he likely should go and talk to the labor board. Absolute worst case is they kick him out of the building. Most likely they will simply say we cannot help though.

Your best bet is to find a Mom & Pop outfit that doesn't use DAC. Don't even mention CR England to them. It was so short anyway it hardly matters. This time don't give up so easily. 3 trainers in 3 weeks is a bit much. I know it is hard but just keep telling yourself "I can do this, it's only temporary, and I really like to eat" Best wishes!

If you can't handle your trainer talking to you like that you won't like DOT, shippers, receivers, etc. You may not be cut out for this line of work.

Wouldn't you like to have some of that pride? Yo!

He's right, Mr @Beardman83...you knew before you went there that they were garbage. You came over to to TTR and other online forums and did a little research and you knew how the overwhelming majority viewed England. You didnt even bother to ask. If you did, 100% would have told you to run the other way. You knew this and so you didnt ask.

You know, there are really good people here at TTR who are willing to help new ones who are trying to get into the industry. But then, you guys think you know better and go off and screw up your records.

Try Nick Strimbu Inc. in Brookfield. They have two Ohio terminals. They're Teamsters Union and have a good reputation. Maybe they'll work with you.
TransAm might give you a chance; do the online application before calling though. It's easier to be hired if you call and say, "I'm checking on my job application."
PI&I Motor Express in Masury,OH is another Teamsters outfit that might give you a chance. They hire new cdl grads.
    USA Truck
    Carolina Cargo
    - teams running California turns.
Again - do the online apps before any phone calls!

We've all seen these so called 'trainers' with a whopping 6 months experience screaming and hollering at their trainees at shippers/receivers, truckstops, pickleparks, etc. No way in hell would I put up with that and neither should anyone else. To be cooped up in a fiberglass box for weeks on end with some punk with a Ltitle Caesar complex...no thanks. I'd be off that truck and otta there too.
