Slid my 5th wheel today pins popped out like they should and now they won’t go back in, ive stopped landing gear on trailer , set trailer brake, turned fifth wheel slide on and off, rocked the truck and the pins won’t go in.

Any suggestions what’s going on? Gonna have to take to Freightliner in morning if I can’t get locked in

Do you hear the lock/unlock mechanism trying to move when operating the switch?

Sounds like the solenoid is acting up

Unhook from the trailer and try sliding it by hand with a bar to the next notch.

Have you tried sliding it by hand to line them up then tapping them in with a hammer?

And are the springs present and in good shape? It uses air to release the pins, and springs to push back in.

Spring is there, didn’t see an area I could hit the pins with hammer, this fifth wheel has 3 notches that have to go in each hole.
