They are now off loading my tank into totes. I started yesterday with 3.25 hours sitting and was told to come back today. Superior is taking care of me.
20 bucks for the first 2 hours, which is standard. I'm getting a 10 hour layover for the night. I went back on the clock at 0800 upon arrival back at the customer today and am getting paid hourly as they load totes. I then do a tank wash, go get a hotel for 2 nights and get another 10 hour layover. I load Monday with a fresh clock and run to Carolina.
No complaints on my part.Lonesome Thanks this. -
Are the miles plentiful over there? And how often would they bring you home now that you’re on your own?
-
I'm too new to say much about the miles. I am getting mostly loaded and the accessory is good so far.
Hopefully an experienced system driver will chime in. I've done 641 loaded so far on one trip. I'd be over a thousand in 3 days with nearly 2 or 3 days to drive if unloading didn't take so long.
Hopefully next week has no hiccups and I can share the week starting Monday. -
Oh, you set your home date when you leave. Some guys go 9 to 10 days and some guys just stay gone.
I'm returning on the 21st and will be home for about 5 or 6 days. After that I'll probably run 8 to 10 out and 3 to 5 home, depending on what money I feel like making. -
I come from one week out to earn one day off. And minimum of three weeks out at a time. So your schedule sounds like seeing a unicorn while getting head in the middle of the woodsscythe08 and Mortarmaggot Thank this.

Yeah. Ick. I looked at companies like that. So glad I took a shot at Superior instead, especially after hearing other drivers talk about their company.scythe08 Thanks this.
-
Yeah it took me a while to find them. I start Monday out of the north east. Haven’t heard much about those locations.
-
Dan, think that's his name, at Springfield MA will work with you. He could take several drivers. I do believe they run like us out of Wilmington. High Point has it good. They have a lot of dedicated and are home weekends a lot. -
At midnight tonight my first full pay period in the system begins. Since I'm on a dispatch layover I go on hourly pay at 0200 Monday for 5 hours. At 0700 I pick up a trailer and go load for a 448 mile loaded trip to Carolina. I hope to be sleeping a few miles from Tuesday's unload, so I can get a load headed out of High Point.
A good start to the week.
This week should give me a better perspective on how the system pay works.scythe08 and Latinstartrucker Thank this.
