I drove around in a car for two weeks before I decided what was out there (Jersey, Pa, Tn, Ga, SC) and bought. Frieghtliner wanted bank statements and I didn't want to mess with it, then they offered a lease. They wanted 20% down to buy. I put 8k down on a 62k truck off a private truck lot. Interest rate sucks, maybe by October I'll pay it off.
Midnightrider909 Thanks this. -
We get 5 days at home after 4 weeks out. So far Spokane has not had an automatic Cascadia on their lot for us to check out. It’s not a very big dealership. The Volvo dealership there is a joke. We won’t get any more vacation until next June.

Do you have to take your home time at home? If not take a mini-vac someplace where they have a couple of large dealers.
Four weeks out? No wonder at times you are grumpy. lol77fib77 Thanks this. -
Thanks. Ordering it straight from Freightliner.

Does anyone really think they take 23 days to turn out one Camry? Pete turns trucks out just as fast as Freightliner .

I have two boys, 11 and 13 that I love a lot more than this job and I’m not willing to go 9 weeks without seeing them so a suitable truck needs to appear close to home, buy one new, or take time off to shop for a truck without shortchanging my kids. I also have a wife scared to death of snow and our dispatcher just sent us up to Canada for the next 3 days and she's freaking out. We might be getting that time off sooner than planned.ladr Thanks this.

I don’t. A lot if the parts are from Japan. They just assembe them here so they can say it’s American.

Forgot about your kids and your right.Midnightrider909 Thanks this.
