Ok, I’m a wannabe so I’ll probably miss plenty.

If the vertical black line is not strapping than there is nothing putting downward force on the center barrier. I don’t see chocking so the outer barriers can move in making straps lose. No idea what the barriers weigh, but guessing 3 are well over 5K and more than 10’ long, meaning more straps? What else, school me.

 

This genius is loading next to me right now. I tried to help but "No speak English" but I think he only has 4 chains for 3 machines? So front and rear units get 1 1/2 chain and center gets 2, 1/2 chains. Only 4 binders too.

Straps? I usually see those held in place by friction. Sometimes they use a load of sailboat fuel in front as a sort of bull head.

Scary the things you see sometimes.

 

I gotta disagree with you here on one thing, the main problem I see is the gap between the walls. I've hauled thousands of feet of barrier wall. The big company I worked for owned millions of feet of it and it wasn't uncommon at all to have 50,000 feet or more on a job. It all got hauled with 4" straps with no protecters and I NEVER saw a cut strap from the wall itself. Most barrier manufacturers won't allow chains on it because it breaks it.
