2 lane highway. I don’t do much interstate driving.
More dot, more cars more stress. I’d rather cruise the woods and worry about deer. Don’t really need a rest stop when you see another truck every 10 minutes just piss in the grass lol.
Just got back from a run from Minneapolis to Bagley MN and back. It’s up by grand forks. No stress at all just cruising the boondocks.
Half the time I’m on divided highway the other half is 2 lane state highway cutting through state forests and woods.

A road is a road, unless it's OLD US 30 in PA west of G'Burg. Now that is a small roadway not much larger than a stagecoach trail which was probably what it was once.
I don't do shorthauls, Hand me the big runs so we all can make the best use of our time. Short hauls to me are somewhat of a irritant. There is so much involved in making a load, fuel, etc then drive and deliver and unload, fuel and other routine stuff. Not enough hours in a day or night and already running late for the morning. Forget it.
The type of road does not matter to me as long there is adequate traction and horses. Ive done off road quite a bit with one rule, if its green that ground has water in it, dont go there and so on. Maybe shake the airfilter out a bit and knock it with a tire iron. It's all the same to me.Mattflat362 and Steel Dragon Thank this. -
Oh man no doubt! I got stuck behind a garbage truck on a 2 lane State route (83 South off I-90 west of Cleveland). I could not believe the massive delay and nothing anyone could do except creep and b###h!!Steel Dragon Thanks this.

4 lane big road, hands down..... there are no naked ladies pacing beside you on two lane roads. I mean why are you even out here?

I prefer longer runs, driving doesn't bother me,its the lost time at shippers receivers.
I'm lucky as 90 % of my runs are 1000 miles or more..I can create my own schedule...love it.
