The ELD is showing you need to charge more per mile or hourly or the boss needs to pay more. Plus better truck.

While there are deficiencies with the megas, you also see them in most crashes because they have the most trucks. You also register it more in memory as another swift accident when there's all kinds getting in accidents.

Every time I open a eld thread somehow I’m still suprised at how many cheerleaders there are on this site, seems this industry runs on stupid and there is no shortage with the megas turning out window licking sheeple week after week..

It isn't about cheerleading. Its about facing the realities of owning a truck in today's trucking climate. Do i love my elog? Of course not. But it's also not some big evil box to blame for all of life's problems either.

Tell your company to pay for a room instead of sleeping in your truck.

    I'm glad you're pumped.

The days of running the exact same speed for exactly 11 hours every day are gone.

This mandate didn't exactly show up out of the blue and you had to know how it was going to affect you.

Elogs suck and the HOS needs a bit more flexibility IMO but no matter what the HOS rules are there will be times they get in the way of what we would like to do. That's life. Get over it.

You think a company that runs him like that would be willing to spring for a room?

Ya you would think But the driver needs to speak up they don't know when he's about to run out of hours.I know I would and if the company said no I wouldn't be driving for them.

He doesn't want a hotel room, paid for or not. He wants to sleep in his bed at home. Maybe he's got a hot woman at home. Hard to fault a person for that.

You're local who doesnt wannasleep in their bed but he said he doesn't get home every night thanks to ELD so why not get a room and be comfortable since he can't make it home.
