Hey guys thanks for taking the time to read this I was just curious what would you think is considered good pay for working locally (150-200 mile radius) I know it probably depnends if you have your own trailer and what kind of items your hauling. A lot of similar questions I see on here and doing my own research it seems like it’s for over the road or regional being out for a couple nights a week but I mean home every night. Do any of you guys just do local hauls only or do a steady gig like intermodal? just want to know what is considered good pay and if it’s worth it after expenses for fuel and licenses and putting some away for maintenance. I’m based in central California. Thank you

$5000 gross a week would be average I think. But in Cali It could be more.

I was around 4000 gross with about 500 in fuel steady. Worked my tail off pulling a flatbed. Now intrastate van work. Much easier and better money. I should add to this I own my flatbed, also my truck payment was 350 a month through a local bank. Just paid the old girl off friday!

I don't know what the average is, but to get me to live in Cali period, I would have to gross somewhere around $25,000 a week.......lol
