The t680 I drive and the daycab version I used to drive have little red lights in the overhead above the dash... Also the auto shift lights and dash lights... All are on at night even with light switches off... Any idea what the red light is? How to shut them off? Thanks

Left hand switch by glad hand lighting switch.

Red lighting above the doors is part of the night time vision. It protects your eyes at night while allowing you to see maps etc inside the cab.
The red lighting on the dash toggles etc is part of that design. -
I'm talking about one small red light right in the middle of the overhead of the dash. All lighting is off but dash and that is lit. There are no red lights over the doors. How do i turn them off while sleeping?

That tiny red light is going to ruin your sleep???

It's messing with my wife's sleep.

And what the hell is a glad hand lighting switch

The rear lights that light up the glad hand area..light switch next to key..has a boot on it..

How about duct tape?

Get a new wife or a new truck...lol.
That light seems to be hardwired. I can't get mine to turn off either but I don't notice it at all at night. You must have one hyper sensitive wife.Steel Dragon Thanks this.
