I was wondering if united road is planning on upgrading there equipment. I am still seeing those 10+ year old trucks rolling around? On average how old is the fleet?

I actually ran into a driver that was still driving a URS truck that we fighting over when they were new 15 years ago!! Lol. I see some new stuff but not alot. That's one of the reasons I work where I do. 4 years old is an antique here.Banker and 389Trucker Thank this.

Back in the old Anchor Motor Freight/Leaseway days, they pulled equipment off the road after 10 years of service .

I thought fleets can only have a certain amount of miles on the rig. Then they retire the truck. At least that was my understanding.

10 yrs old?? I run a truck near 20 yrs old for cassens. I can only dream of a 10 yr old truck. This week was comical with the frigid cold. Everything breaking left right and center389Trucker and Banker Thank this.
