Was wondering if anyone had any current info on gypsum express? Are they a good company to run for? Would be running out of the Kentucky terminal. Also how about the winter time, are they keeping the drivers running?

Their trucks are poorly maintained and undersized for the loads. They run you until you drop and try to get you to run over the HOS. They don't care about their drivers. If you don't mind getting in 1 good meal and 1 shower per week, this company is for you.

Sounds like they have plenty of work. All that other stuff is in the drivers hands. Can't blame a company for you not showering or eating.stwik, ChicagoJohn, nightgunner and 1 other person Thank this.

Most: I would note that speccing a 400-430 horse motor & 10 speed to pull 2 48' trailers loaded with Sheetrock is somewhat less than thoughtful in terms of driver comfort and safety.
The rest I agree with you fitzy -
They only let you have 1 meal a week?
Do they have Chuck Norris riding with you telling you what to/not to do? Wowwwwstwik, Ruthless, ChicagoJohn and 3 others Thank this. -
Very true. You would think drivers and companies would know better. At the same time I hear guys starting out in second with a loaded turnpike set. That's gotta be great for the driveline. Give those drivers 600 hp and it would be non stop carnage.

I wouldn't necessarily trust the post of someone who claims you can only eat & shower once a week. You get 10 hours off every day, what you do with that time is on you. I thought they were on Peoplenet or Qualcomm, so I'd like to know how they run a driver over on their hours.
I've never worked for them, but I've talked to numerous drivers leaving Muscatine IA and they all seemed content as a truck driver can be.
I can't speak to truck, the guys I ran with didn't have a problem driving RT 61. -
I have noticed some sloppy securement on some of their trailers. I do look at professionalism on securement as how a company is run.
kylefitzy Thanks this. -
Do you really like hauling Sheetrock and tarping every load? That's the main question. If so, then this may be for you.
Justrucking2 Thanks this.
