My freaking bunk heater tends to stop working if it gets too cold out. Ridiculous. Some set up. Thermo King APU. If that happens, motel here I come.

The cold doesn't bother me too much. The wind will be a problem. Find out pretty soon.

Says Wyoming 80 is still closed due to wind around Elk Mountain until 5 tonight.
I'm start heading that way though.
Option is go over 70. Colorado says that's open, just can't like going that way though.

Those winds will shake you too much down by storm king. You really don't wanna go that way just yet.

I pulled out of Rawlins about 02:00 CST headed east. It was kinda windy across to Cheyenne but not bad at all. But it helps to be headed east. There was a blow over on the WB side west of Laramie from the day before.

It started out about 40 degrees in Rawlins and stayed in the upper 30's across to Laramie, then halfway between Monument Hill and Cheyenne the temp started dropping. It was 6 in Cheyenne with heavy freezing fog but road condition wasn't bad.

I was heading just up to Loveland yesterday, and it was blowing pretty good. Luckily, I was dragging a heavy intermodal can. There was a poor FritoLay truck crawling along at 35, white-knuckled, trying to keep it upright near Berthoud. Wind was straight out of the west as we were going north on I25. They said it was gusting up to 90mph in Genesee. However, it was still as could be in Denver proper most of the day. As of this morning, it's dead calm where I live south of Denver.

    UPDATE
    1500 MST.

Closed from Rawlins to I25 pretty much for "light" HPV's. Until 1700.
    Which is me.

And of course I have 3 hours left on my 11/14.

Loaded over 25K there is no restrictions.

    SO,

Looks like I'm spending the night at the TA. Lot's of spots still available btw.

Forecast for tomorrow is like 10 MPH winds with gust to 15.

SO I Guess I'll JUST Wait here. Stop by and say hi, we'll have corndogs.

Keep your fingers crossed the area doesn't get some new snow tonight. This little complex is moving mostly in a East-southeasterly direction
