May not be a real driver, may not have a real truck. Some may have no idea what a MLD (manual log device) looks like or how to use it. Does that make them beneath me absolutely not.

Making a good living with a 27 year old hood, not working hard and having fun doing it that is truckin.

Ok legal in hours but illegal in terms of driver fitness (fatigue). Have you ever been at a dock and waited hrs to be loaded only for you to get a reset in hrs but you have been up all day. The ignorant dispatcher see that you was able to get a 10hr break in awake the whole time. And still try push the load and if you won’t do it for some reason the receiver all of a sudden don’t need that load for a day or two. I seen it all... ELD plainly is just a money grab and a calculator for all the people who don’t know how to count.

 

Me too. Been out here since June of '98, been on and off elogs since '99. Nwverr once scrapped in my truck. Never used a bottle, either. And I've been OTR, regional, and local.

All this sniveling and whining used to be funny. Now its just old. Give it up, troops. Compliance is here.

 

Logs are logs brother, hos are hos, yeah not like a paper log, but you still can use paper logs!!!!
It's really not that big of a deal!!!
The same way you use a pc or smart phone, which is a computer, you can use an electronic log book!!!
It's NOT as bad as people make it out to be!!!!

You guys do know you can stop at a Walmart, etc and buy a portable toilet, I have a 5 Gal bucket with a toilet seat, some cleaning stuff for smell, bags, its all good for emergencies or middle of the night stuff!!! I have a sister who flatbeds and does the same!!!!!! Eat better, get out the truck and stretch, walk around, relax, stop all the worry over nothing!!!! eat more veggies, get some herbs, ease off the bad diet and get more nutrition in your life!!! Buy a mixer, you can also get a washer for like a $100 to go in the truck and even a grill like George Forman!!!! You can join a club like Planet Fitness, etc that have spots in every city in every state and they are usually in big parking lots/ private property....

The guys still on paper do not have the problem. It's safe to say we don't care who uses or likes an ELD. However being told how wrong we are because of an exemption we just happen to fall under and stayed on paper is getting old. There really is no reason for it. Search the forum it's all over it.
