I've had similar happen to me. Once, I took off their mirror as they attempted to squeeze their way into the left turn lane as traffic made its way through the 4-way stop...apparently they didn't want to wait in line, and figured the truck that couldn't see them would let 'em in. I didn't even realize they were there or that anything had happened until the car ahead of me went through the intersection and this little gray Ford Focus with the drivers side mirror dangling by the power cords whipped into the intersection from the straight/right turn lane and stopped in front of me. The driver got out saying I hit him and stating we ought to exchange info, and I told him I wasn't giving him a #### thing...we can call the cops, I'll provide the cops with my info, and they can write HIM tickets for failure to yield, improper lane use, etc. He didn't want the cops, but insisted upon exchanging info. I told him my insurance isn't going to pay for his screw up, and that if he want's my info the only way he'll get it is off the police report. So, I grabbed my phone and dialed the chief of police in that town (his mom lived next door to me). About the time his phone started ringing, the knucklehead in the car said "Nevermind. We'll fix the car ourselves" and drove off. PC answered the phone, and when I explained what happened he asked "Any damage to your truck?" Nope. "Then don't worry about it." OK.

Few years later, it happened again at a red light. I was in the left turn lane when my dog started going absolutely ape-#### growling, barking, and carrying on over something. I was looking around trying to see what had him so riled up, but it wasn't until I stood up in the seat that I saw the roof of a car that had nosed in between my truck and the car ahead of me. Had it not been for my dog, I would've started rolling when the car I'd stopped behind started rolling and I would've pushed that idiot same as in the news article because I wouldn't have known he was there.

People are stupid...and situations like this are PRECISELY why I keep my dash cam mounted low on the windshield to the driver's side of the centerline. I don't want it showing things I couldn't see, because you'll have a tough time explaining how you didn't see that car that is RIGHT THERE clear as day in your video. When it isn't in the video either, it's easier to explain how you just couldn't see them.

I don’t deny the stupidity of the 4 wheeler. But how in the heck to you push a car sideways from a dead stop and not notice the extra drag? I mean i can feel it when i have a trailer brake hung up.

If you run heavy all the time the drag would hardly be noticeable .. we pull tri axles and a buddy had his kid with him and he started shouting at my buddy they were pushing a car . He stood up and sure enough one snuck in and he didn't see it over the hood of his western star

    Learns? I doubt it.
Funny title implying the motorist learned anything.

Seen that happen in Boston in 2005. VW pulled in front of a 379 at a light. He pushed it for close to a mile. Before the cop got him stopped. I laughed so hard almost pissed my pants.
