Right, I get it you blindly jumped on the encroachment bandwagon that you heard some one else say and just thought it sounded good.
Which is why you you can't explain how the ELD mandate is encroachment.
Time for some CoD remastered. Cya

You do have a good point that we shouldn't ignore, but what are you going to do about it?
What is every driver who's concerned with this issue going to do about it?
Needless to say, nothing will change unless more drivers get off the couch and do something to help make some positive changes. As they say...

So get off the couch and take some action...

Don't forget that some folks just like to ##### about stuff, and they're simply too lazy to get off their arse and help find a solution.Brandt Thanks this.

Encroachment; the intrusion of personal territory or rights. The inside of my truck that I bought and paid for is my space. Putting an unwanted tracking device in it is encroachment.
If I’m not doing a job that has direct contact with other people, like driving a passenger bus or flying a passenger plane, then government has no reason to track me.
HOS should be a labor issue, meaning something employers can’t force an employee past, not a DOT rule.wore out, Lite bug, Oxbow and 1 other person Thank this. -
You do know they have the right pull you over anytime they feel like to inspect your truck or log book without any reason. That's the difference between a CMV and a personal car. You may have paid for it.
They have right to inspect it and even ask for supporting documents that proves you log book is accurate like toll receipts or fuel purchase. They even have the right to see how many hours you worked and what locations you worked and sleep. You could call that trucking if you want. So they have the right to track you. All kinds of stuff YOU give up as a driver.driverdriver Thanks this. -
I didn’t say that I don’t give up rights as a driver. I am saying I SHOULD NOT BE FORCED TO!

When all this was coming down, I sent my Comgressmen the points put out by the OOIDA and got these responses : “intended to help improve vehicle tracking, driving record sharing, and commercial motor vehicle safety.” Notice “vehicle tracking “ is first on the list. When I got this from my representatives, I knew the goose was cooked!
