Yes it is. I think I sent you a PM not sure how this thing works. My unit deals primarily with Government and High Dollar Freight. So the word undesirables is actually what the Navy calls it when you can not get on base so that is a pretty precise term. So yes we do check everything from birth to present date. Then when you get past TII qualifications and KMX Qualifications you will get to me. Unlike big companies when I am about to hand you 100k of my equipment that I own I make the decision based on gut feeling. I can drive a truck and have had my CDL for 26 years. I know what it takes to make a living and I know what a driver is worth and how hard it is. This is why we went with the (salary option). With the ELD in force it seems like the best way to ensure my drivers can pay their bills and have money not the chicken scratch the big boys pay. It seems though some people are happy sitting in truck stops making 500.00 a week as long as they have their new truck and an XBOX. Those type of drivers need not apply there are plenty of companies that can hook them up.

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.
