Doesn’t matter if the signs were in Vulcan....

Just looking at that bridge as you come up to it should have been enough.

Another one of our neat Covered Bridges messed up...it's usually the 6 wheel Home Delivery Trucks that do that around here

If this is the bridge I think it is, there are signs at the end of the road. But if you miss those signs for whatever reason, there really isn't anywhere to turn around. And backing out is possible, if one is careful. But, judging by how far this clown went before stopping, I can't see them backing out without hitting something.

But I can think of a handful of places in PA where there are no signs. Until you're literally at the bridge with nowhere to turn around. But, in those places, if a normal steering wheel holder has made it that far, they'll usually become something of a celebrity for trying so hard.

Just another day in the Keystone State

Well there it is. The dumbest thing I'll read all day....... Unfortunately in this era that is possibly not true.

I would have called a wrecker.Truckers should always have a back up plan. But what I see in this photo is nothing more then a common steering wheel holder.

I don't understand what you all are ragging about. The sign says 4 ton weight limit. I don't see where he broke through the bridge. There isn't any sign with a height limit. So he should have been good to go.

Lepton1 and Steel Dragon Thank this.

To the question on covered bridges in remarkable shape. There is a part of the National Park service that makes sure that the few remaining covered bridges are kept in prime condition. I only learned of this recently through a Facebook page of the Wiscasset, Waterville and Farmington Railroad. They recently acquired a open truss bridge for use on their narrow guage railroad.

Yes I too tend to believe that it was bad use of GPS was the reason for this driver acting so foolishly.

baha, bigguns and Steel Dragon Thank this.
