Nothing so far, I drive a Penske rental with an Eld in it from Omaha to Salina and back. Not even a glance so far but I'm sure they will get around to it eventually in April or so. Have had some interesting glitches with whatever Penske is using, hopefully they will solve that soon. Works ok though for the most part.

That's a great question we should also ask the programmers with the JJ Keller mobile app, as it does that when you stop for red lights, etc.bigguns Thanks this.

55 years out here. Went for 25 or 30 years, log was never asked for. Much, much better drivers, then came Deregulation and #### hit the fan. Now 75% cant even stay in their lane. Cant driver without a GPS. Half cant read a map in English. Most of us dressed as professionals not like some homeless bum.

One more thing, the problem is not a log book or an ELD, the problem is the HOS. They are trying to make one shoe fit every foot.
longbedGTs, mitmaks, 7-UP and 5 others Thank this. -
I don't believe the ELDs will actually prevent any kind of behavior by folks intent on breaking the law, but it might just slow them down a bit and help get some of them arrested before stupid crashes like that one in Maine where innocent folks were killed... but it does seem obvious that the current ELD mandate needs to be modified/improved.
