Many truck stops will not allow you to leave it parked there and leave. Paying customers are the priority. It's a truck stop, not a drop yard. Many Home Owner Associations prohibit parking commercial vehicles in the neighborhood. Check with nearby customers, self-storage/RV parking lots, tow companies. Don't just driver around looking for parked trucks, like at shopping centers, and assume you can park there with no problems. That's how you get in trouble. Nobody said life is fair or easy.

The worst of it though is you getting permission in a nice quiet spot, and later others showing up, lying about having permission to park as well, then doing something that gets everyone kicked out. Went through three spots in Huntsville (a severely truck-unfriendly town for parking) before finally just finding a spot that the lazy, nasty drivers wouldn't attempt to park at.tscottme Thanks this.

Yep, There used to be 10 to 15 good secure parking places in my hometown. Several even remote enough to park a running reefer. To the best of my knowledge today all are gone. Several were lost because the truck friendly owners either died or moved away. New owners stopped the parking. Most of the others were lost either because of trash, drugs or prostitution. Its been 8 years since I moved away I suspect it is still the same. Even the place I parked some the owner died. Things change.TaterFox Thanks this.

No such thing as home time.
