There are many "cool headed" people who drive aggressively like this for no reason. Likewise, there are some "hot heads" who know they have a problem and take extra care to drive safe and predictable. Likewise you cant predict violence from emotionality. You can tell when a persons attitude pisses you off, and thats about it. In exmple above, its more a lack of empathy to wish to drive another trucker off road. People who lack empathy tend not to be the hotheads, but the psychopaths and sociopaths who come across otherwise as "predictable" people.

Just a word of advice kid, manage your dang money. Never be at the mercy of the company! Really irritated me reading how hard up you are for cash.

Yep, what everyone else said. Iam teaming with a buddy of mine for werner. Always said id never go there, but i did. I do miss the small mom and pop company i was hauling flatbed up to alberta and back. Im not exactly thrilled with werner but do have some likes...as i say this, know tommorrow i may have a different opinion...as for now im content...we are burning up the road with miles and hardly shut the truck down...i do like the ease of submitting bols and all pay stubs are online and a hardcopy mailed out...last week was supergood, this week will prob be a little slower...as long as i average 12-1300 a week, im good...ahh, but i do miss the flatbed, those Pete’s and W9(with the 3406 CAT, 600hp)...this I speak the truth...this freightliner cascadia is a piece of garbage of a truck...and not only for its low power and governed speed...the wind comes through the door and panels, it has that dang opti idle crap on it, and rides rougher than my international...
But, I know what your thinking...why do i stay???sure we have had some disagrrements with dm and scrathed our heads more than once about decisions that are made, but not bad enough to go and jump ship...and for now I settle in the fact that while this isnt exactly where i want to be, it is the pathway there...once they have served my purpose and I them, I will find another small company, give notice, and bid werner farewell...in the meantime, find what makes you happy and go get it. May the miles burn your 70 up every week...Opus Thanks this. -
I enjoyed werner when I was therebamamac Thanks this.

Someone has broken open a book. Conservative estimates put the number of drivers who fit the bill for a sociopath at 20,000. Thats a lot of Hillary Clintons driving around. As far as psychopaths? maybe a 1000 but those that score high enough in testing to keep in front of you is probably only around a dozen.7-UP Thanks this.

I did about 18 months there 2012-2014. I chose Werner because I live near Offutt and well you have to get experience somewhere right? Trained on Shop-Ko account and I had a decent trainer, it wasn't bad. Then I applied for Net-Ops and it was a very unpleasant experience an entirely different world. Biggest issues were dispatch and poor maintenance on the trailers. Rusted out, tires, bad landing gear, missing permits, missing door seals, lights not working you name it. Never knew what the Denver driver was going to suprise you with. Spent a number of 10 hour breaks at the rest area because of issues and couldnt make it back in time. Also had a trailer disconnect at the North Platte Flying J due to bent jaws in the 5th wheel, they dinged my DAC because of it. That TS is no place for a cherry on a Sat night, saw a number of clipped trucks there. After about 10 months I knew it wasnt going to work out and headed for the exit. My advice for newbies is avoid avoid avoid Werner, you can find better out there.

It's true Werner doesn't care I just got out of the safety meeting because I was making a left hand turn to go onto a freeway up in St Louis the driver of the four-wheeler was stopped so I got over halfway into the turn he decides to speed up and then brakes all of a sudden and forces himself to go in the median which is the size of another Lane he told Werner that he struck a barrier and that I hit him Werner believe him over me and almost lost my job over it
