another problem im trying to overcome is pushing the clutch in to far. I have short legs so i sit close to the wheel and i end up pushing it to far and dropping the rpm's and you know the rest. i know floating might be better for me, but i want to learn the double clutching to. i try counting one onethousand two onethousand and seems to work sometimes. sometimes i think i would do better if i could just drive by myself without the pressure of someone watching you.

Thanks Big Don, I'm sorry for being rude to u. Believe me I don't whine too much, heck I'm 49 yrs old. And your right, people do have it worse off.

I wasn't at all offended. I know that at least one of my more... marginal students went on to become a trainer. I hope it went well, as I learned a lot as a trainer.

In fact, I think the experience made me a much better driver. It's all the tougher because while you're observing/correcting your student's driving, you may well find yourself looking at your own driving more closely.
It can be a real eye-opener.

No problem Chuck. I'd be willing to bet that you are having a bit of a tough time right now. I guess I was a little rough on you.

Shoot, there aren't any of us that don't screw up, and have our share of problems. I hope you find something that works for you.

YES!! when you HAVE to dbl clutch, only push the clutch in far enough to disengage it. if not it throws the timing ALL off

thanks chuckster. I have about two more weeks and then I have one more skills test to pass and then get signed off to solo out. my trainer is cool, been with the company for 10 years so he REALLY knows how the company operates. i like that fact that he doesnt to it for the money like some do. i can tell he gets a little fustrated but i understand. like when i teach someone how to ride a motocycle, its come easy to me and i start to think to myself, "it aint that hard" so I know thats probly the same thing for him. just trying hard not to take it personel and gotta stop beating myself up.
