I'll look into it but getting payed as a lease purchase driver doesn't sound like a good deal.
How is that working for you?
Specially during 2015-2016 when rates and volume weren't too hot.
Landstar actually has great accounts but they're just not a good fit for me. I think you're thinking of the stuff Landstar puts on their loadboard for outside carries which is double brokered junk for the most part.
Yes, I bought the truck in cash.
The company is a mix of o/o and company guys. They do dispatch their own trucks an Im aware that company trucks come first but that's not my problem. I made great money and I like the people I work for I just feel like I need more control in how I operate my business.
Learning how to negotiate is a big part of why I want to get my own numbers. I want to get the business side of trucking down so that eventually I can scale or maybe invest in something else. -

I just did my ifta . In 3 months I run 21450 miles. Made about 55000 . Figure it out .

My only problem on buying a trailer and going completely on my own is the paper work transfer, I'm not set up for it while being on the road and waiting for the payments.
