Most people barely pay attention to the road, nevermind other people on the road.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but second pic, forward axle, isn't that one of those spacers they use when running super singles??

if you look closely at the pic, you'll see what remains of his super single around the axle

I wouldn't know about super singles , I just thought I saw holes on the front axel from dual Alcoa rims , I'm sure you guys are right ,I still can't believe he drove with both axels down , see something crazy everyday it seems

I don't think he drove far. I still think he clipped an ICC bumper earlier in the truck stop and blew them both, then run them off the rim on the way to the pumps. Those super singles come off pretty easy.

I know "someone" that once drove on the interstate with trailer doors open, not latched in the open position. Virtually nobody on the road or the CB did anything to get the driver's attention. This was back 20 years ago when EVERYONE had CB radios. One highway worker in the median stopped leaning on his shovel and watched intently as the truck drove by. BTW trailer doors which are not closed and latched will travel down the road, while going straight, as if they are about 2-4 inches from the closed position. On turns turns is where they swing out to the side of the trailer, or so I've heard.

I've had a trailer door come open while I drive. I'd guess about 5 out of 100 cars flashed their headlights after I passed them. The highway patrol trooper was very nice. No ticket. The lesson is REMARKABLY few truck drivers or car drivers will DO ANYTHING even if something is obviously wrong with your truck or trailer except tell the story to someone else over the next few days. I guess these days they might video you and post to YouTube.

I just can't understand someone who doesn't have enough empathy to warn a driver about such a condition. A CB is the greatest tool in the world for this job. Alas, it's often turned "off" or not "there" at all. And the doors just flap, flap, flap away.
