If I recall properly you can get in some pretty good trouble if you use wasp spray, or bear spray on someone in self-defense. That whole...criminal can sue you thing or sumsuch. Silly I know.
Many moons ago when I was a lot closer to 18 then I was 45...me an some friends went and were shooting some BB guns in a local park. Cops got called by someone driving on a road near the park cause they thought we were shooting real guns. lol.. Anyhow, most of the cops were cool but one insisted on charging all of us for discharging firearms in public. BB guns mind you. When we finally went to court it was worth it. Judge tore the cop a new one. Of course this was before Columbine, Sandy hook, 9/11, etc.
Nowadays who knows. Charge would probably still stick these days.

Well all I have to say is when I finally get my license and start driving I'm either gonna have a taser or I'll have my bb gun or maybe both.. Ain't no one gonna tell me I can't have something to protect myself especially with me being a woman..
x1Heavy, Sirscrapntruckalot and NavigatorWife Thank this. -
Even tho my bb gun does look like a .380..Sirscrapntruckalot Thanks this.

There are tasers designed to provide you 30 seconds frying the bad guy. Just don't "Test" them more than once. (Taking cartridge out and then using the 4 contact probes to fry the juice... that is one option if the cartridges failed to connect with the bad guy)
The other is Krav Maga, many females go through this type of training and do very well. Ive taken on children in the bay with protective gear and found myself essentially beaten and bypassed if they are doing well. Tough to swallow, but training is fun.
Generally if you are careful and do not present a prey behavior to anyone out there, you will be left alone. Predators are cunning and can assess a potential prey in a few moments somewhere on the street on sight. Way faster than our most esteemed learned shrinks of physiology.NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
Now I lay me down to sleep, in my rig a gun I keep, and if I wake and your inside, the coroners van will be your last ride.

I have non-resident CCPs issued by Utah and Florida. With those I’m able to carry in about 35 states.
Too bad the one I live in is not one of them.

Arkansas honors and vice versa (Ha... we'll see...) and vice versa Maryland is a special case, I would have to get a non res permit to enter that state armed legally. Certain handful of other states consider my hollow point and other ammunition illegal. And there are still more that only honors themselves who issue to residents themselves like California etc.
I think there are about 39 states or so I can get into. (Two in particular I would not want to.) Illinois in particular on our maps are marked in black, denys the right to carry. It's a constantly changing map because several states have flipped flopped last year or so as their base of power in their leaderships changed back and forth.
For those who wonder what my issue with Maryland is, there is no issue. It's where I was raised long ago. And I still have family there, what is left of them. Considering Bodymore Murderland and how bad it's gotten I wont go there without arms. -
I have a cc for Oregon because i live there and unfortunately they don't recognize any other states permits so no one recognizes theirs. I also have Arizona and Utah permits which gives me about 34 states. Still cant be legal in comifonia. I personally believe the 2nd gives us the right to carry w/o permit.
I may be dating myself but when i was 11or12 yrs old i used to ride the city bus with my .22 rifle. You would be dead by cop for that now.Last edited: Jan 28, 2018

A rifle is not the problem in hands of a kid back then. Its the handgun that was the problem.
HELL.. in middle school I carried life sized model replicas of .44's painted and treated to match the ones in my Pa's collection. This would be late 70's time. Teachers take a eyeball of that holster and gun. Pick it up instantly realize it's plastic etc and well done for the cowboy day or whatever.. Not just one but a pair of them. With bullets to boot in that stupid holster kit. I think there was even a prize too that day.
Fast forward to today? I wont get two steps inside that stupid school without being shot up.
NEVER mind the fact that they never checked the ammunition. Never mind the little law that barred possession of same for minors too. I should be jailed. HA. But it was a seriously different time.Imadebail Thanks this. -
I remember back in school days that if you were a boy for Halloween you were a hunter and brought a gun or bow to school ,even in a pic of the high school student parking lot you can make out a shotgun in my gun rack of my pickup.
Times sure have changed but then again history class was yesterday's news paper too lolx1Heavy Thanks this.
