Your opening post hurts your cause. Elogs are for people who are too stupid to think for themselves. They are for people who can’t think, so they don’t have to think. And then you support this by telling us that you are communicating and getting intel from people who are either too lazy or too stupid to invest in themselves. There are drivers, company drivers that make less than a grand a week, right? There are company drivers that make $2 grand a week. If I was a company schmuck, making less than a grand a week, and I knew there were companies where the drivers make $2k a week, do I hold my pickle and blame elogs or do I go find me a better job?
The next time you see an owner operator that’s averaging $1.05 a mile, tell him to sell his truck because he is too stupid to be an owner op. No, I am not for elogs, but the guys you talk to are the people who are in the business just long enough to keep freight rates low. And that hurts everyone whether on elogs or paper.

If you really want to help them, tell them they’re stupid for working so cheap.
