hello everyone got another tire question. I’m buying a set of 295/80/22.5 tires Friday currently my truck has 275/80/22.5 the inside of the stamp on the rim say 8.5 . Will the wider tires be a problem??

Well I’m getting 4 used tires from a guy online so definitely there cheaper. And I didn’t don’t want to buy them and then find out there to wide. Thank you for the input

Your rim width matter.
You can put somewhat larger to a maximum permissible size. It's not always wise to do so.
When I purchased tires on my vehicles, I check the rim size against the factory permissible maximum for that rim width. Then carefully pick a size one step below the widest.Steel Dragon Thanks this. -
