With the 50,000 driver shortage and the projected need for more than 90,000 to be filled the .50/mile seems very doable for drivers in this hyper competitive market right now.

True, good point. That's my worry is not getting the miles. I hope to run OTR 2500+/week and if I can get .45/mi to start as a newbee I'll be happy.

Just a quick FYI: Their website states up to .64/mi.

They also pay 21.00 a day for food while on the road , it's not an advance or taxed on the paycheck , they just put it on your fule card , when you fill up you just get the cash . When I was otr I lived on it , if out 2 days I just let it build up and take it out when I want play money

    NordicNomadic Thanks this.

Quick advice to the driver looking for a job. Don't pay your speeding ticket or any moving violation, get a lawyer and they can deal with it. It will cost you short term but if you will have 0 points as opposed to 4 or even 2, that can make the difference when applying for jobs.

    Zaros and NordicNomadic Thank this.

Now frankly there really isn't a driver shortage.. What there seems to be a shorter job is quality drivers who aren't going to sit back and put up with the complete nonsense at a lot of these companies pull... Like the bait switch & the lying...

I often wonder when "driver shortage" comes up how many drivers are unemployed or between companies.
