LOL at so many of the replies about Laundry! It does SEEM like all the terminals have laundry til you really start think about them in detail, but I agree the terminals that matter most do lol!
I guess I’m a little different in my opinion on truckstops than many, I tend to prefer Love’s to other TS because of their rewards system and most of them are newer buildings and in better condition in my opinion. BUT they do tend to have smaller parking lots and haven’t had laundry in the past, although all the new Loves being built have laundry and they are adding them slowly to most of the others. Obviously not having them was a poor decision for them in the past. There are some Pilots/Flying J’s that are on my favorites list, it’s a subjective list to me
Hope everyone is warm safe & happy!![]()

When it's laundry time I find a T/A, Petro or a J. Doing laundry at a terminal more times then not turns into an act in futility. 1 washer, 1 dryer, 3 guys waiting on the bathroom, 2 more waiting for the bathroom with the shower, 6 pissing and moaning about waiting on the shop, 4 bags of other peoples' laundry waiting in line before you, the guys next door in Trenton that seem to be the only people in the country besides the military allowed to fire surface to air missiles scaring the crap outta ya.... you get the idea.
Plus I don't like being at a terminal to begin with so for me it's an easy choice.dhellmer, Airmech, JOHNQPUBLIC and 4 others Thank this. -
Ya I prefer Loves also. Not really sure why except it seems they are always much cleaner than Pilot/Flying J. My biggest complaint about Loves is the low number of showers in each 1. There's always a wait if you get stopped past 4pm at most of them, and Ive had to wait at 3am for a shower.

Yes most Pilot / Flying J's are filthy. Universally too, almost no matter where you go. I actually preferred Petro and TA because they were usually clean (especially Petro), with large parking lots and other amenities and options besides just fast food. Didn't get to shower there much after Millis stopped using them as fuel stops. Although I did get a fuel solution at a TA months after they stopped using them so not sure what the deal was / is.
I've gotten up many times at 2 or 3 am to head out early thinking it would be easy to grab a quick shower at that time only to wait at Loves. Not every time but more than you would expect.Suspect Zero and FalconsFan21 Thank this. -
I don't like them because they are always understaffed and poorly managed. Always a wait for showers, always long lines at the registers. The ONLY thing I like about them is the Tire Pass. But again, always a wait for that. And I've been told several times that it isn't available because there isn't anyone there to perform the service. They can keep their stupid points. It's hit or miss whether or not the pump you pull up to will function. Or that they have def at that pump that works. I'll hit a Pilot or Flying J every time I can. When I get my own truck, Love's will never see it in one of their fuel lines unless it's an emergency. I've been to a couple Pilots that were questionable, but for the most part I love that chain. I am I'm fact camped out at a Flying J tonight.

Greetings my brethren. Hello from Texarkana. On the bad side. I had very sad moment a while back as I watched my intended stop fade in the distance in my mirror. It looked so warm, welcome, and ready to house my truck for the night. But, prudence overrode my choice tonight. I'm an hour closer to my final and I know I'll appreciate that tomorrow. I'm at the Flying J on the east side of Texarkana in Arkansas. Definitely not my favorite place in the world but it's just for one night. My GPS is telling me I have 6.5 hours to get to my final but it'll be less than that. I never bumped my GPS up since my truck got turned up, but I don't think I'm going to change it. It's nice to have that buffer built in. Today I shaved an hour off my estimated time, but it was a special set of circumstances. Nothin today but straight up haulin ###. Mostly 70mph roads. I have no idea how many log jams i avoided but it would be a dizzying affair to try and keep track of it. It's an unbelievable feeling to have the pedal depth to get past the usual cast of idiots. This was a fantastic day, I couldn't possibly be happier. I'm all set on laundry, so I'll grab a shower before my time here is done. And tomorrow I'll have an extra hour because of this stop. That's a good thing, because I'll be in EBF Texas and I don't want to get stranded with no time to run and get parked. All in all this has been a killer day. By the way... If you guys stop here for the night, park in the dirt lot across the street. It's 5 bucks and worth it. The truck stop parking lot is impossible to get out of in the morning. A-hole truckers will block you in no matter where you park. It's a good truck stop but security does not enforce parking. You're better off paying for a spot in the dirt lot. Just be careful, it's a crater zone. Go slow and lock your drives. And this is one of the more scummy parts of Arkansas, so padlock your trailer and lock all of your lockable doors. Someone needs to drop a bomb on this GD state. Or dump tons of bleach on it. Anything would be an improvement. Hope y'all are doing well tonight. I'm so happy to not be in the snow that I couldn't care less about my current location. Be safe out there in Truckerland. Stay warm, enjoy the road. Keep the rubber side down and check your pins. Peace guys.

Wassup Truckerland. Hope tonight finds you safe and happy. I'm in Houston Texas tonight. The word for today is TIGHT. Before I got to my final in Sealy, Opie sent me a preplan. Normally that's a good thing, but he coulda kept this one. It was a broker load that picked up in Houston, about 3 miles from where I'm parked. I have gotten used to this particular broker and I kinda like them. They have a very handy app that makes life pretty easy. The load was due to be picked up at 3pm and I had absolutely zero chance of getting there on time. I went back and forth with dispatch once I was at my final, and headed out. My hat goes off to the dude who checked me in. Even though I was 2 hours late, he got me in relatively fast. It probably helped that I slipped him 10 bucks to move me up. It was a cheap bribe offer, but it was all the cash I had. Apparently he wasn't insulated, because I had a dock in 45 minutes and they were busy. I was trying to beat the clock, as I was low on time. While I was waiting on a dock, I called ahead to Pilot to reserve a spot. I got parked with 14 minutes left on my 14. I HATE being that close. I'm a team player until it starts to threaten my PSP score, especially now. And it cost me 25 bucks to keep from getting a violation. You're welcome, Millis. I promise you that this will never happen again. Next time I will refuse the load. Do what you will when that happens. Pardon the venom folks, it's been a ####ty day. After fighting Houston traffic twice today and once during rush hour and pushing a violation, my f'n fangs are out. That's it for tonight, I need sleep. I'll have to push hard to make the final on time. Be safe out there. Keep the rubber side down and check your. Peace y'all.
