Well, most loads you don't really click to accept. ITS has a negotiation tool on it. I have never actually booked a load through it. Generally I call you or you call me and we negotiate the rate. If we come to an agreement we exchange setup paperwork, or if we're setup, we go to the part where I send you the rate confirmation.

Another question: I am waiting on my authority and hoping to be up and running in the next couple of weeks. I just got a quote from OOIDA and will pick up Cargo next week. When I begin looking for my first load, will I be sending the broker my insurance info or will I be sending the company where I am loading. Probably sounds like a dumb question. The reason I ask is because a few weeks ago, the authority I have been contracted under couldn't get on a job site bc the company didn't have updated insurance info. So on that first load, who gets my insurance information?

Your insurance agent will produce an insurance certificate showing whoever is a certificate holder, for example ch Robinson 1480 fake street, stupidville MN
Some of them want to receive it directly from your agent, they can just email it. Some insurance shops you can make your own certificate through some online portal. It will show your liability amount of coverage, cargo amount, expiry dates. And anything else say if you have reefer breakdown or 3rd party trailer up to value x.

You send it to whoever is paying you. So in this case the load broker. If you land a direct customer you would do the same for them.
