Today, Albertson's let me use their driveway to get into their dock area :).

Reading this thread reinforces why I don’t miss grocery warehouses or pulling a reefer...

Well, you should have thrown in the part about the former Navy Seal parking lot security guard with the buzz cut!

The only place where I see truckers yelling and cursing at the shipper every single time I visit is the Millard/Lineage in Allentown PA. They have rules like this and they usually argue with the trucker when the pickup number is missing a last digit. I luckily never had any problems there but I see truckers yelling and storming out about 90 percent of the time while waiting in line.

We found a good shipper with reefer, out of Memphis running Medicine (McKesson through a third party Fleet that leases on) they only require 60 degrees temp mostly and load drop and hook, and unload at DC's within the hour reloading with cardboard waste right back to memphis. Its a routine.

I don't do Americold anymore you can fire us but we wont go after the famous Salinas CA fiasco.

BTW that new picture of the poster, is the background of my desktop a while. We have been pretty lucky considering that we stayed the hell out of the Grocery business all these years. I do have a little bone to pick with the tight fisted dispatch unwilling to pay more than 60 to unload a trailer in the 2000's era when they raked in thousands on a haul. And now I hear loads are 300 to unload.
