I think it's interesting to hear these stories from business owners. It's like a peek behind the curtain. It gives you a new perspective instead of looking at things from an employees point of view...and gives you a different kind of appreciation for those who are keeping you employed. Don't like it? Take your ### to the unemployment line then. What right does anyone have to start barking orders or putting someone elses livelihood at risk just because you don't like the way things are ran? That takes a lot of nerve. Some people just...make me speechless. Who the #### do you think you are...would be my only response.

 

@nightgunner if I wasn't happy with transport, I'd surly hit you up. I know my work ethic is what you're looking for.

Understandable, and I agree.... if he would have just laid his cards out.

 

I guess every country is different when it comes to industrial relations over here we have what they call a trial period where for the first 3- 6 months they can pretty much fire you for having the wrong colour shirt on after that its usually company policy to issue 3 written warnings if there ignored then you will be fired on the fourth incident.

 

Unfortunately up here in the land of the free we have no worker protection laws worth a crap.
An employee that's been working there 10 years can be fired for any reason or no reason as long as it's not one of the few protected reasons (race, and sex being the big ones)
