Swift - go elsewhere

Ironic post of the year ...

 

I don't understand why so many people want trucking companies to pay for their license... They're the last ones I Want involved with that

 

That's an easy one......people in general nowadays always want a handout! If they can avoid paying anything out of pocket they will with total disregard for the long term consequences.

 

Because most people getting into this way of life are dead ### broke and don't have $5-6K sitting around(that was my situation almost 20 years ago) I don't think it has changed much...............Unfortunately

 

Not naysaying the post, but the part about the brake lines... Sorta triggered me. Was it not caught in the pti our the brake/air loss/pumpdown? Or was it a freak incident?

 

My first year in trucking I was treated like crap. But I never looked at it that way till years later. I did not have internet sites to tell me which way to do things, or who not to work for, now you do.
I want to have sympathy for your husbands plight, but I just can't muster any. Just googling the company name should be enough to show you what a perilous choice going to Swift could be.

The only thing I cared about when I started my trucking career was failure.. This is what my first truck looked like that I teamed 7000+ miles a week in. I thought it was the best thing in the world at the time.

Because they don't have 10 cents to their name, and don't possess the ability or mentality to save money on their own.

And these will be the future lease purchase operators

 

Because they have nothing. Then they complain when they have to work for it.

 

Are the students children or adults? Anyone crying over not being fed needs re-evaluate their lives.

 

So, people who have nothing, and are trying to improve their lot in life, should be made to go hungry? I, personally, applaud anyone trying to better themselves. I suppose you'd rather have them on Welfare and Food Stamps? Sometimes the sanctimony here is enough to make one sick.
