Reefers or any noise never really bothered me as long as it was consistent, starting and stopping ever 5 minutes or the air dryer going off every 45 seconds I would get up and move as it drove me nuts
I also park in the back row, try to stay quiet and it's also good excercise walking inside
There are some mentally unstable drivers out here..

Of course they wouldn't be able to cut it in fast-food or any other service sector job. This was probably the only career choice they could hack short of going on SSI, or becoming one of the many homeless wandering the country.

The other night I was seriously wanting a quiet night's rest, so I paid for a spot at a Pilot. I pick a spot between a dry van and an empty handicap spot.
45 minutes later a reefer pulls in. It was running full tilt and the driver was idling with a bad air leak. So I get up, circle the pumps and as I'm heading back to the spot facing the other direction I saw him key up the Mic and say "well we have an open pay spot at the Pilot now" (he thought I was leaving).
Was that you? If so, we need to meet up in some remote place late at night with nobody around for miles. -

Strange is that,,,,, You did comply and backed it up , ""So he would not have to look at you""?.**All you both had to do was "Swing the Neck" to the other side. LOL.
Crazy World out there...easytopleez33 and TripleSix Thank this. -
My advise is from 30 years and 3 million miles.
Pulling in also protects the front of your tractor, radiator, etc...
So is almost every plant I pull into, part of the job.
You actually dont keep anyone else awake, but personally I do not ever sleep in truck stops, in general good way to have someone take off your hood. -
If you can pull in you can back out.

So, your truck is safe and who cares if they whine.
