they are good as long as center point of load is not behind axles center, than...... well lets say it could be suicidalOxbow Thanks this.

not fan of completely rigid chassis, whenever i can i make them flexible on front end of truck about 0.7-2.0m from front axle rides better. you can play with this with bodyattachment points and crossmembers. scania got very good options there, you can find different setups of springs, shock absorbs, stabilisator bars, and plenty of body attachment options, if you know what are you doing you can have very wide range of choice

If you have a rigid chassis, than your axles must be able to travel up and down a lot. And that is the case with Tatra and that MAN truck. There can be lots of reasons that you want to have a rigid chassis.98989 Thanks this.
-
yes they have to, in case of sx, you lose more than you get with rigid chassis, if you need rigid chassis for body, than you can get subframe with swing arms
btw my father had tatra in 1978-1979 or something, i will have to look for model there are still some papers in home he get it from bauxite mine i think they did not pay him or something so he took it, i will have to ask himOxbow Thanks this. -
I’ve watched the Tatra in military trials for years it’s an impressive all terrain truck , some of the competition was fun to watch to . Not sure who might need one but impressive
You can keep your cabovers
