Well, I never went to a truck driving school, so I don't have the slightest idea what they learn there. As far as sitting in a dark lot for 10 hours goes, sounds good to me. Rather do that than be in a truckstop. See, In my off time Im an overlander. I LOVE being off the grid by myself with no others around, fully self sufficient, fully stocked for comfort. I bring that same preparedness to trucking. But the ELD won't dictate your well being any more than a paper log. Only difference is now you can't lie and say it didn't happen.

I have driven 5&4s, but I haven't been driving since the days of them.
But, my first license to drive trucks WAS a Chauffeurs license, and I did use to have bingo stamps. Yes, this aint my first rodeo, I have been around for awhile.Ive seen a lot of stupid ####, and Ive done a lot of really stupid ####, and Ive seen others do a lot of stupid ####.
Ive also been able to identify a whole lot of #### wrong with the trucking industry over the years.

So, what you are telling me is your new tool for keeping track of HOS status is highlitghn a real problem in the industry, which is that the current HOS regulations do not work.

LOL. So you are trying to tell me that there has never been a trucker in violation of the HOS involved in an accident where someone has died?

Hey, you are borderline illiterate, but I said name 5. Until you do, you have zero credibility.

Another reason I stay where I am at. Our company policy, even if out of hours is to find a safe place to park with facilities. If it is an hour away, go. I have done this several times already. Hell, we don't go anywhere, essentially local drivers, actually O/Ops, with sleepers on our trucks. If we didn't go to Toledo or Fort Wayne now and then, we could be exempt.

AZ Pete, you are delusional.....maybe drivers like you are the problem, did you ever think of that? There are drivers and there are steering wheel holders.....enough said.

    Timin770 Thanks this.
